Steps In Between

Halloween Poetry 1-2-3 (and a chance to win a book)

With Halloween on the rise, and three SPOOKtacular reasons listed below, I am reglogging my post from last year: https://stepsinbetween.com/2019/10/27/writing-in-the-almost-utter-darkness/

Three reasons and a book-drawing:

  1. This blog post from last year holds a few of my darker poems…how much fun is that in this chilling season? Only SIX days until Halloween!
  2. I have an upcoming virtual poetry reading TOMORROW night – October 26, 2020, at 5:00 PM (PDT). (https://www.facebook.com/events/511556159662316). I will read a couple of the poems from this post (perhaps), and a shiny new one or two! OOOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhh (my best ghost wail…). Drop me a line that you watched and I will put your name in for a drawing for my poetry book, Colors Collected. If you already have it (thank you! – please pass it forward as a colorful gift OR I have a special stamp and can add your name to a book in honor of the donation I will make for you).
  3. I wish to share some of my older posts to keep my messages alive and breathing. This blog is my writing journey, and we are all at different stages in our process. I want to continue cycling through older parts of myself as I step up into the newer ones. My heart-focus is to reach every reader/writer/follower at every step in their path. People need people, my friends. Let’s be there for each other!
My special stamp, if you win the book drawing and already have it (unless you want it to gift forward). 🙂

I hope you enjoy my darker-themed poems, the show tomorrow night, and the upcoming Halloween weekend! Good luck in the book drawing (you can let me know on FB, Instagram, or here in the comments). BOO!

Happy Writing (because at least you’re writing),
